Why do you use Jade? Jade for centuries has been used as a stone to both cleanse and detox the body's systems in Chinese medicine, both supporting lymphatic drainage and aiding the body's filtration systems. Jade is a natural stone and for centuries has been known as 'the stone of the heavens'. Jade is said to assist with cellular regeneration, hormone balancing and replenishing one's energy. It also is believed to be beneficial for kidney function and relieving tension.
What is the difference between a jade roller and gua sha? We believe our jade gua sha delivers even deeper affects that a jade roller. Whilst the jade roller is wonderful to support lymphatic drainage, our gua sha tool allows you to work deeper into both the fascia and muscles as well as activate specific accupressure points on the face. Jade rollers are great to use after gua sha to soothe and calm the face.
Will your facial oil cause my skin to break out? Gua sha encourages the skin to detox and pure out toxins, so if you breakout, it's a sign things are shifting! Whilst it may seem counter intuitive to put oil on your face, particularly if you have an oilier skin, our facial oil is extremely mosituring and is well absorbed. Our oil can be used as part of your morning or evening skincare routine or simply to provide some slip for the skin for your gua sha ritual, you can wash it off or leave it on. It's up to you.

We suggest you avoid using gua sha to filled areas of the face for the first 28 days and the first 14 days for Botox or anti-wrinkle injections.
